Detail of the morning light streaming through the leaded windows of Chester Cathedral cloister.. It was making such a strong shadow against the stone. The windows were mostly clear glass so showing the picture in black and white wasn't at the cost of losing any colour from thew windows

I thought I'd put a few words on here to let you know about my work and about me. My Dad was a keen amateur photographer and was passionate about the pictures he took. A little of that has rubbed off on me and I like to try my hand at taking interesting pictures. I don't profess to be the next David Bailey and I have just a basic 10.2 mega pixel Samsung digital camera, but I like to think that some of my pictures come out quite well. I am keen to learn any tricks of the trade and any advice, constructive critiques and comments are greatly appreciated. If you have any recommendations for equipment or techniques for a guy on a budget, feel free to add them to my page! I hope you like the pictures I've put on so far!
